Mary Beth Edelson, artist, New York City, has been featured in over 35 books. Her work is critiqued in the US and abroad in the literature of fields as diverse as psychology, feminist theory, photography, theology and art, and is collected by major museums including: Guggenheim, MOMA, NY, Corcoran Gallery of Art, D.C., Walker Art Center. Recent exhibitions include: a retrospective of her work at Malmo Konstmuseum, Sweden, Migros Museum, Zurich, Tate Museum, London, MOMA, LA, New Museum, NY, Mumok Museum, Vienna,. In addition to international recognition as an artist, feminist pioneer, activist, and lecturer she has founded numerous enterprises. Currently, Edelson is artist in residence for a month each year while producing the Utopiana Project in New Harmony which continues her engagement with public space.
